A Watery Way

I would like to show you somewhere, someplace tell you about what I know
It shouldn’t take too long and if you’re willing, together we can surely go
Down the trail to the brook there is this special, magical location I’ve found
Very few ever go there and sometimes it feels like sacred, hallowed ground
Be sure to carry good intention, eyes that see and an open heart and mind
Then the once hidden will appear and the long since forgotten we may find
From voices of the water, rocks and trees tidings of inner visions will arrive
Countless yesterdays, struggles, sorrows and joy, feelings of just being alive
Time is here for us presently so let’s abandon other plans we had for today
Certainty’s delusion and reality’s dream with us now, powers soon to fade away
If we can only be our self, observe and really see wonderful Mother Earth’s glory
True awareness will appear and we’ll know some of the other side of the story
We travel along, apart in human being form often lost in search of what is true
Many mysteries do linger hidden just beneath a surface often hard to get a view
If eternity is an illusionary state of being and forever just a long measure of time
Then every moment has within it potential endless possibilities a primordial rhyme
Our wishes, worries and wonders carried by yesterday’s blood flow into the now
Feeding our determination of existence providing clarity of awareness somehow
Well within the quiet of this ancient channel hearing life giving water as she flows
Sound like no other over rock and stone vein path carved seaward gravity knows
Love runs deep in this stream to a place where dazzling flames of the spirits flare
Together we can journey fearless finding enchantment and all the strength to share
