Zachary P. St. Martin
March 5, 1983 – May 2, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Zachary P. St. Martin, 43, of Bradford, on May 2nd, 2026.
Zack fought a long and difficult battle with alcoholism for more than a decade. Addiction slowly took pieces of the man so many knew and loved, but it never erased who he truly was at his core; a father, son, brother, outdoorsman, and loyal friend. His family shares this part of his story openly in the hope that it may help others recognize the seriousness of addiction, seek help without shame, and know they are not alone. Alcoholism is an illness that impacts not only the person struggling, but everyone who loves them.
Raised in Bradford, Zack spent his life surrounded by the people and places he loved most. He formed countless friendships over the years and was happiest outdoors — hunting with his father, fishing with his son, grilling and cooking with his daughter, sitting around campfires with friends, and making memories with his children. Zack valued simple moments, laughter, conversation, and time spent together more than anything else.
Above all else, Zack’s greatest pride and joy were his children, Lorelei St. Martin and Ethan St. Martin. He loved them deeply, and anyone who knew him could see the light in his eyes whenever he spoke about them and their accomplishments. His love for his children was unwavering.
Zack was predeceased by his mother, Darline St. Martin. He is survived by his father, Paul St. Martin; his sisters, Heather St. Pierre and Dawn Dodge; his beloved children, Lorelei and Ethan; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and close friends who will miss him dearly.
Though his life was marked by struggle, it was also marked by love, friendship, and moments of genuine joy. Zack’s family hopes his story serves as a reminder to check in on those who may be hurting quietly, to show compassion without judgment, and to encourage anyone battling addiction to reach for help before it is too late.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Paul St. Martin’s home, at 1291 Rowell Brook Road, Bradford, Vermont, on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness, support for addiction recovery efforts, or simply reaching out to someone who may need help.
