Thomas M. Blake

WOODSVILLE, NH — Thomas M. Blake, 82, of Woodsville, passed away on July 7, 2026, at the Grafton County Nursing Home following a period of declining health.

Born at home in Pike, NH, on December 17, 1943, he was a son of the late Harold and Lottie (Sargent) Blake and grew up as one of nine children. Tom attended Haverhill Academy before joining the U.S. Army, proudly serving for three years stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to the area and married Linda DeRosia on November 4, 1966. Tom spent his career working as a machine operator at New England Wire Mill and later worked at Copeland Furniture in Bradford and DCI in Lisbon before retiring in 2009. 

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. He also loved playing pool, tending to his vegetable garden, and helping his sons work on their race cars.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Blake; his son, David Blake of Woodsville; and his grandson, Cooper Blake of Campton, NH; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Tom was predeceased by his parents; his son, Christopher Blake; his brothers, Harold, Donald, Richard, Martin, Ronald and Stanton Blake; and his sisters, Barbara Tedesco and Blanch Dennis.

A graveside service will be held Saturday July 25, 2026, at 10AM at the Horse Meadow Cemetery in North Haverhill.
