Geraldean was a daughter of Dean Brock and Gladys (Devenger) Brock. She graduated from Wells River High School and went on to work for many years as a waitress at the Rexall and P&H Truckstop in Wells River, VT, where she became known as “Gram” to many who frequented the establishment. Gerry had the ability to make everyone feel welcome, leaving a lasting impression on those she encountered.
On November 15, 1958, Gerry married the love of her life, Russell E. Sulham, with whom she shared many happy years until his passing. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, nurturing their family with the same warmth that Gerry radiated to everyone around her.
Geraldean is survived by her two devoted sons, Michael Sulham and his wife Tina of Littleton, NH, and David Suham and his wife Heather of Bath, NH. Her legacy continues through her great-granddaughter Kinsley Rae Chase of Sheffield, VT, as well as Morgan Sulham with her partner Troy Culverwell of Lancaster, NH, and Emma Sulham of Bath, NH.
Gerry was a passionate genealogist, dedicating countless hours to researching family history. She hand-typed her findings into a well-organized history that she proudly shared with her loved ones. Her commitment to preserving her family’s legacy was a testament to her love for them and her desire to keep their stories alive.
Gerry enjoyed knitting and working on puzzles, but perhaps her greatest joy came from listening to “The Boys” play their music. Music was a vital part of life in the family, often serving as a backdrop to family gatherings.
Geraldean’s funeral will take place on July 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM, with a graveside service as the Wells River Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Bryan, nurses Ashley and Danny, and all the support staff at the Central Vermont Hospital for their exceptional care of Gerry. Your kindness and compassion during this difficult time will never be forgotten.
