Mildred Terrill

Mildred (Sargent) Terrill passed away at her home in Scarborough Maine, under the care of Home Hospice on December 14, 2025.
Mildred was born in Woodsville, NH on November 8, 1938, to James and Grace (Sweet) Sargent and raised in Corinth Vermont on the family farm. Mildred attended school in Corinth and Bradford Vt.
Mildred married her high school sweetheart, Robert “Bob” Terrill on April 15th, 1959. They lived most of their married life in Bradford after a short stay in Presque Isle, Maine. She and Bob relocated to South Carolina in 2015 but returned to New England (Maine) in 2024 to be closer to family.
Mildred was employed at Barton’s Dental (now known as Barton Street Dental) for 26 years. She was also co-owner with husband Bob of the local Suds Your Duds Laundromat before
re􀀃ring to enjoy family, friends and her church community.
Mildred took great pride in her Christian faith. In addition to being a Sunday School Teacher, Summer Bible School Leader/Teacher and various Church Committees Leader, she
traveled to Cuba and Kazakhstan as part of a Foreign Missions Group to share God’s Word and support those communities.
Mildred was also a Service Member to her community in Bradford. She was one of the earliest
members of the Bradford Fast Squad, Fireman’s Auxiliary and a member of the Bradford
Evangelical Free Church.
Mildred enjoyed several hobbies, including sewing, reading, cooking, and church activities, but also attending functions (ball games, concerts, school events) for her children and grandchildren.
Mildred was predeceased by her parents, sister, Marilyn Hastings and brother, David Sargent. She is survived by her 4 children, Deborah Terrill of Chelsea Vt, son R. Todd
(Rhonda) Terrill of Bradford, daughter Catherine (Daryl) Smith of Scarborough ME, daughter Sue Grady of College Park GA; 10 Grandchildren, Kevin, Andrea, Keagon, Bri􀀁ney, Ryan, Chelsea, Thomas, James, Dalton and Joshua; and 9 Great Grand Children: Ashton, Jayden, Jyanna, Elyjah, Maddox, Nolan, Lucas, Emersyn and Cora.
A celebration of Life will be scheduled after the New Year at the Scarborough Free Baptist Church in Scarborough, Maine.
