On December 10th 1960, she married the love of her life, Gene Pierson. They had six children, Gene Jr. (Lisa K.), Lisa A. (Mark), Suzanne (Chris), Kristal (Thane), Melvin (Erica), and Matthew (Jamie).
Dee leaves behind traditional family values of hard work, honesty, integrity and love of family. She will also be remembered for her delicious breads, donuts, cookies and whoopie pies – which she generously shared with family and friends.
Both of our parents taught us to have strength and courage during difficult times, even when your heart is broken. Wisely spoken by our dad, Gene, “sometimes you don’t realize how good people really are until you have trouble of some kind. If all this is any indication of wealth, we are very rich.”
As Dee wrote to Gene after his passing, and as we remind them both now,
We all miss you so very much
But our memories will never fade
We love you still and always will
Each and every day
-Deanna Pierson 6/23
