
Obituaries
Dana was born in Stoneham, MA on July 29, 1947, to John Francis and Evelyn Ann (Strong) Leonard. He graduated from Woodsville High School, Class of 1965. On September 17, 1966, he married Susan Irene Darling.
Always a hard worker, Dana and Sue owned and operated a dairy farm on Court Street in Haverhill, NH. While having worked for the railroad in the past, once the farm was sold, he returned to the railroad and was employed with the B&M Railroad. Eventually, he owned his own logging business, Leonard Logging, working out of Glencliff.
In his spare time, Dana enjoyed deer hunting and trapping. He also loved antiquing, and especially enjoyed collecting bottles. In late winter, he did his own maple sugaring.
Dana was predeceased by his parents, John and Evelyn Leonard and by his sister, Donna Webster Boissoneault.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Susan I. Leonard of Glencliff; their daughter, Carol A. Paronto of Florida; their son, Jason F. Leonard and his wife Sarah of California; four grandchildren, Collin Litke, Griffin Litke, Maya Litke, and Paisley Ann Leonard; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 2-3 PM, with a brief memorial service at 3 PM, at Ricker Funeral Home, 1 Birch Street, Woodsville, NH.
A graveside service will be on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 1 PM in Pine Grove Cemetery, Swiftwater Road, Woodsville.
