Bruce Raymond Usher

Wells River, VT - Bruce Usher age 71, passed away suddenly at his
home in Wells River Village on July 8, 2025.

Bruce, as a child lived in Montclair, NJ, and later in Chatham, MA. He graduated from the University of Vermont, Class of ‘76, and
was a respected teacher and track coach for many years in Raymond, NH.

He was married and divorced twice, but had no children.

He leaves behind his sister, Katherine Usher Booth, and niece, Lisa Richards, both from Chatham on Cape Cod.

Bruce was a big fan of the Red Sox, the Patriots, and the Boston Bruins. He was very much into rock music, with a vast collect tion of vinyl albums and CD’s. He was a huge fan of the Allman Brothers and REM. Fantasy and science fiction stories were his favorites.

Bruce loved his quirky house, built in 1839 and everyone in the Village he saw daily. He was a regular at Dog Mountain.

A good-natured fellow, Bruce led a quiet life with his beloved dog Merlin, who unfortunately passed away a few days after his
demise.
Bruce and Merlin’s ashes will be interred side-by- side at the South Cha tham Cemetery in Massa chusetts, near his parents Ed and Jean.
