Arnold W. Lockwood
January 29, 2026
Arnold W. Lockwood (Arnie), 74, passed away at his home on January 19, 2026. Arnold was born to Harland P. and Lillian E. (Darling) Lockwood on October 23,1951, in Littleton, NH. He graduated from Lisbon High School in 1969 and was a lifetime resident in the town of Lisbon, NH.
Arnold had a true passion and art of using his hands. He loved creating things out of wood down in his celah. This led him to work for many years at DCI (Furniture Factory) in Lisbon, NH, and then later led him to work at Brown Street Furniture in Whitefield, NH. Arnold had made many things throughout the years for his family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Whether he caught his limit fishing, reeling in a pink fishing ticket or even just sitting in the woods “hunting” listening to the birds and watching the squirrels play, Arnold found joy in the little things in life. All who were blessed to have known Arnold have many memories of his funny, twisted, sometimes dark but most often dirty sense humor. If he didn’t have anything smart to say, he wouldn’t have said anything at all.
Arnold is survived by his wife, Theresa (Houde) Lockwood whom he would have been married to for 25 years this coming August. His children; Robert and Wanda Lockwood (Wife), Catha and Richard Varney (Husband), Jennifer Heath, Tracy Lockwood and John Hartlen (Husband) and his stepchildren; Eric Houde and Ryan and Shelly Houde (Wife). His grandchildren; Alexandria Willey, Katie Choate, Lillian Varney, Cody Varney, Landen Butilier, Tyler Lockwood and Kassie Oberhausen (Houde). As well as four great grandchildren, two sisters; Donna Charette and Laraine Garvin who blessed him with five nieces.
Arnie also leaves behind his life long best friend Richard (Ricky) Veilleux and his brother from another mother, Jerry Catterall.
A friends and family gathering will be held on Saturday, January 31, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Ross Funeral Home in Littleton, NH. A Celebration of Life will begin at 11:30 AM. A luncheon will follow at the Lisbon-Landaff Shared Ministries Church (the white church) on Main Street in Lisbon, NH.
