Obituaries
She was born on October 22, 1938, in West Windsor, VT, to Marion St. John and Errol Amsden. Annette was the youngest of three children and lived in Bethel, VT.
Ann married Clarke R. Tabor on September 2, 1956, in Panama, where Clarke was
stationed. They remained married until his death on February 10, 2025. They welcomed
five children into their family: Jerry, Jo, Julie, Janet, and Jon.
Ann loved animals, being outdoors, and spending time with her grandkids and
great-grandkids. She loved the ocean and Nubble Lighthouse and it was her choice of
destination for any vacation. She loved summer and hated winter. One of her many
talents was cooking, she could turn leftovers into a grand meal. If you went away from
her table hungry, it was your own fault. She loved trying new recipes and made the best
pies, especially maple pecan and apple.
In her later years, she lived in Waits River, where she became well known for her
cooking. She enjoyed doing puzzles and sitting in the backyard watching the birds.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, Rosie and Rolland, and her
loving husband.
She is survived by her children, Jerry Tabor and partner Kathy, Jo Lacaillade, Janet and Ed Miller, Julie and Mike Leveille, and Jon and Robin Tabor.
To honor our mothers wishes there will be no funeral or memorial service held. The
family will gather at a later date and spread her ashes as per her request.
In Lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations can be made to Tri-Village Fire Department PO
