Private First Class Mark Puffer of Groton Vermont graduated at the top of his class (Honor Grad) from the Army Mountain Warfare School at the Camp Ethan Allen Training Site in Jericho, Vermont. PFC Puffer is a member of Alpha Company, 572nd Brigade Engineer Battalion, based in Bradford VT.
PFC Puffer was also awarded the Army Achievement Medal at the graduation ceremony. Pictured are Mark’s parents Matthew and Tracy Puffer of Groton and to the right is Lieutenant Colonel Jason Beams, commander of the Army Mountain Warfare School. Matt Puffer and LTC Beams both formerly served at Alpha Co. in Bradford as ‘Tankers’ when Alpha Co. was an Armor unit.
