Archery Deer Season Expanded In Parts Of Vermont Including Newport, St. Johnsbury And Waterford
Vermont’s new deer hunting regulation includes 16 additional days of archery hunting beginning September 15 to help manage deer in eight designated areas.
High deer numbers in these areas are damaging property and native vegetation. Most are developed areas where deer cannot be effectively managed with firearms.

Fishing equipment will be loaned for this fun day on the ice, or participants may bring their own.

Hunters who do not go to a biological reporting station are asked to provide a tooth from their deer. Tooth envelopes and tooth removal instructions are available at all big game reporting stations.
