Front Porch Forum hosts online newsletters in every town in Vermont. Neighbors, nonprofits, businesses, and government officials can post messages, share news, get advice, make recommendations, announce events, sell items, and much more. It's all about helping neighbors to connect and build community.

Each week, one posting is selected for its humor, storytelling, or community-building, and then shared throughout the state. And, now you can read it here in The Bridge Weekly.

Jon shared the following story in the Panton Forum. We thought it was well worth a share:

“I need to know who the kind Tire Fairy of Vergennes is.

“My car had a completely flat tire. The tire flattened hours before I had out-of-town commitments that would leave me unable to deal with the situation immediately, so I unfortunately had to leave it in its parking lot space for a couple of days. I guess I’m old school because I assumed I would need to scrounge for a spare tire, tire iron, jack, etc., to get this taken care of. But in the interim, I learned of the new handy tire repair kits that are apparently standard in most cars now. After watching a YouTube tutorial while I was at the office yesterday, I went straight from work to deal with the tire and drive it to the good folks A&D Automotive for a look.

“When I arrived... the tire was miraculously full of air. I was stunned, confused, and amazed! Flabbergasted with gratitude! Confounded with appreciation! Flummoxed by indebtedness!

“Who was this Good Samaritan? Who is the tire fairy? I thank you immensely, and should you not reveal yourself, I hereby promise to pay it forward!”
