We all have a Disability – Physical or Mental or both. Society seriously has a long way to go to improve.
A friend I knew who has Cerebral Palsy volunteered at a local medical facility last year. Just because she walked differently beyond her control. Doesn’t give certain groups of people the right to be –2 face to her. Think she was only Qualified to do 1. Task that many don’t want to do. She walked away!
My friend is perfectly qualified to advance and do many jobs. Now, you would think Medical would be a Positive caring atmosphere to volunteer. Don’t be fooled by their inappropriate attitude. What would you do if you were forced to use a walker? Paralyze to what medical issue you’re experiencing?
STOP DISCRIMINATING age, overweight, color and disability. Even certain medical departments/jobs and stores get discriminated against. How can we improve the way people/society think? Consider being an Advocate. Families/guardians could use support also.
Favorite quote: You haven’t walked a mile in my shoes. Don’t judge me. I won’t Judge you. Let’s all be on the same page.
