Past Life Story

A friend recently told me one of her grandchildren said to her out of nowhere, “I miss my mommy.” She told the child mommy would be back in a couple of hours and the response was, “No, my other mommy.” The child simply went back to playing as though they hadn’t said anything.
There are many similar stories of children reporting knowledge or memories of previous lives. Children often say things about being a different age, being an adult, having a different gender or even talk about their family members who passed in another lifetime. Often, they do not identify it was a past life per se, they simply say something along the lines of, “When I was a daddy...”
A couple of the most well documented stories include a child who loved toy planes and was able to provide information about himself and the plane he was flying when he was shot down in during a war. The family researched his story and was able to find the man he claimed to be, but would have had no knowledge of as a child. The child saw pictures and was able to identify the correct type of plane. His parents tracked down a surviving sister and arranged a meeting. When he saw the sister, he seemed to know who she was and details of their lives as children together. It is reported after this meeting he no longer talked of his past life.
Another well researched past life story involved a child who spoke of dying in a fire in a city they had never been to. They knew their name and when the parents investigated it, they discovered this person had, in fact, existed and passed in a fire.
There has been extensive research done on the topic and many books written reporting the evidence uncovered and unanswered questions. Children reporting having passed in a certain manner and having birthmarks corresponding with the manner in which they passed. Children who have fears related to a past life death, such as a drowning victim being afraid of water in their next life. Most children forget past lives as they get older or after they have some resolution, such as the young child I spoke of who was a pilot.
There are many theories as to why a child may have these past life memories. Some people feel it is because they are still close to having been in spirit form, others believe it is because no one has convinced them it isn’t real or is their imagination. A great deal of evidence points to it being connected to having a traumatic passing or traumatic event in their past life that went unresolved. That would also explain why therapy or connecting with people and places from that past life can help children find peace and let go.
A reminder to listen to and believe the children in your life. They often know far more than they are given credit for.
