Locally, four rallies are planned to make a full day of it. Starting on the Orford-Fairlee bridge at 10 am, then on to Bradford at Rts. 5 and 25 at 11 am, and Newbury Common at noon, the day will finish up at Littleton’s rally, 2-4 pm.
The rallies will be stitched together by the Rolling Rally of decorative themed vehicles. Line up is at 11 am in Fairlee, with appearances in Orford, Fairlee, Bradford, and Newbury.
As the Rolling Rally arrives in Newbury, SASS (Sing-Along Solidarity Singers) will open with song, actor Dan Butler will read from our country’s founding documents, and youth speakers will envision a brighter future. Newbury will conclude with a honk-and-wave and end at 1 pm, giving people time to move up to Littleton.
For more information, see nokings.org and zoom in on the USA map for our local events. If you’d like to join the Rolling Rally or for more information, contact defenddemocracyindi@proton.me.
All concerned people with peaceful intent are welcome. Six local organizations are hosting: No Kings 3: Third Act Orange East, Corinth/Topsham Indivisible, Fairlee Dems, Northern Grafton County Dems (NH), Orford Dems (NH), and North Country Resilience (NH).
Please note: A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
