Dear Editor,

This is a “Shout-Out” in appreciation for the publication of The Bridge Weekly. As advertised in The Bridge, Bethany Church in Pike recently held its annual Community Festival of Song. This festival which seeks to honor God, America, and our Veterans draws people from our immediate region and beyond.

The sanctuary of this small country church set-apart on the hill in rural Pike was full! At the closure of the Festival, I asked folks as they were leaving, many of whom I did not personally know, how they found out about the Festival. The reply of all was the same, “The Bridge!”

In a day when technology and electronic devices seem to dominate our society, I consider it a true blessing to actually pick up a local newspaper and hold it in hand. Not only has The Bridge covered important events within our churches, schools, and communities, but in my opinion it has brought a tangibility of life into the hands of its readers. On behalf of those readers, in the Spirit of Thanksgiving, may I say “We are grateful” to the entire team of The Bridge. Have a beautiful Thanksgiving!
