The Bradford Public Library is welcoming the fall season with a wide variety of reading materials, programs, and events for all ages! Stop by and pick up a copy of the Vermont Reads 2025 pick, "The Light Pirate" by Lily Brooks-Dalton, and join the discussion led by Jim Schley on Thursday, October 23 at 6:30 PM. Visit us at www.bradfordvtlibrary.org on FaceBook / Instagram, and sign up for our monthly newsletters to find updates to additional programs and events.

While you're in the building, be sure to explore the newly updated Reading Room. Recent enhancements include:

An 86" wall-mounted high-definition presentation display with integrated sound system

A desktop magnifier designed specifically for individuals with vision loss or visual impairments

Custom window treatments to enhance accessibility and support a more inclusive programming environment

These updates were made possible through the American Library Association's LTC: Accessible Small and Rural Libraries grant as part of our ongoing commitment to making the library a welcoming and accessible space for the entire community.

On October 2, the Board of Trustees officially kicked off the 2025 Annual Appeal, and they ask for your support. "As you can imagine, operating such a library requires a substantial amount of financial resources. The Library gratefully receives an annual contribution of about 65% of our budget from The Town of Bradford. In order to secure the remainder of what is needed, the Library seeks support from grants, general fundraising, and the Annual Appeal," says Appeal Chair Larry Coffin.

With your help, we can reach our goal of $25,000 to maintain Bradford's historic building and valuable community resources. Please send your contribution to PO Box 619, Bradford VT. 05033, or give online today!
