The Oxbow boys improve their record to 7-5 with a convincing victory over Northfield. It was cancer awareness night for the Olympians, which has special meaning for this group of boys, as senior Ayden Haley is himself a cancer survivor. Haley not only got the nod for the start, but he also has won the hearts of the home crowd, attested by the roaring applause he got when introduced as a starter and the chants of “we want Bubba” when he was on the bench. Oxbow took an early lead and never looked back. At halftime, Oxbow had a 35-17 lead over Northfield. Oxbow was hot from behind the arc as four different Olympians hit the trey for a total of eight during the game. When the final buzzer went off, it was an overwhelming 84-48 win for Oxbow. Off the bench, Colin Chase had fourteen points. Jayden Huntoon led all scorers with 21 points, including five three-pointers.
