Nasty Spill at the Bridge

By Susannah Kerest

Front Porch Forum hosts online newsletters in every town in Vermont. Neighbors, nonprofits, businesses, and government officials can post messages, share news, get advice, make recommendations, announce events, sell items, and much more. It's all about helping neighbors to connect and build community.

Each week, one posting is selected for its humor, storytelling, or community-building, and then shared throughout the state. And, now you can read it here in The Bridge Weekly.

This week's Best of FPF is from Pete, who shared the following appreciation in the Hinesburg Forum. We thought it was well worth a share:

"Yesterday, I was bike riding down Texas Hill and took a nasty spill at the bridge, near Hayden Hill East. Jeff saw me in his rearview mirror and turned quickly around to check on me. I was pretty dazed and in rough shape. He helped me load my bike into his white pickup and drove me back home.

"Jeff, just letting you know that I'm ok and I really appreciate you. You are my knight in shining armor, and I hope your kindness finds its way back to you 1000x over! So thankful to have folks like you living in our community. Thank you!"
