Know about Little Free Libraries?
By Susannah Kerest
Front Porch Forum hosts online newsletters in every town in Vermont. Neighbors, nonprofits, businesses, and government officials can post messages, share news, get advice, make recommendations, announce events, sell items, and much more. It's all about helping neighbors to connect and build community.
Know about Little Free Libraries? Rusty posted about this Not-So-Little Free Library in his Randolph Forum. We thought it was well worth a share:
"Sandra's Book Stop has FREE books all year round. Take a few or leave a few. Most books are fiction, horror, sci-fi, and crime thrillers. My Mom reads a book or 2 every week, and they can pile up fast, so she bought a shed and decided to give them away to the community.
"There is a tip jar for maintenance if you are so inclined. Please only donate newer books and classics in great condition. No magazines, self-help, or biographies. Stock up for summer reading. Self-serve. Please park to the side to keep the driveway open.
Easy to find at 684 LaBounty Rd., Randolph. Enjoy!"
Each week, one posting is selected for its humor, storytelling, or community-building, and then shared throughout the state. And, now you can read it here in The Bridge Weekly.
