Huge Amount Of Dogs
We used to rabbit hunt all day with our Beagles and then spend the night coon hunting with a local legend, State Senator Gerald Morse. To me, he was the template that all old time Vermonters were made from. He drove old International Harvester Scout trucks and knew the value of a dollar and made the best BBQ chicken ever.
Too Early to Think About Spring?
There were no thoughts of setting the hook or playing the fish here, I reared back hard on the pole like one of the old time tuna fishermen when they use to pole them aboard the commercial fishing boats. This resulted in one big, wet, slippery walleye landing on the bank.
Pet Peeve of Mine
Having worked at the state independent living center for 16 years with individuals with various disabilities, I am quite adept at spotting them. The aforementioned individual seemed to be quite healthy and disability free. That kind of behavior is a pet peeve of mine.
Traveling Jesus in Haverhill, NH.
The Christmas season for me is a mixed bag, I hate the over-the-top commercialization of it. I love Christmas trees, Christmas dinner and the more traditional aspects of Christmas. During the holiday season I often reflect on my time spent in Israel and particularly in Jerusalem.
The Baker Pond Monster!
I told him I might swing up and join them. I checked the weather for the next day and it looked good so the next morning, I hit the highway from Concord and headed for Wentworth. I wasn't exactly sure where anybody was so after a little circling I located my ice fishing party.
Thank You.

The Perfect Day
We pulled into South Ryegate and took a drive up by the Fiske Farm and then over the little bridge to her old house on the left where she and my father lived for many years. It still looked in great shape.
After An Eclectic, Adventurous Early Part Of My Life...
I had a high-pressure job and living in the city itself could be stressful with things such as heavy traffic pretty much every day everywhere. So, it was often with a sense of anticipation that I looked forward to the weekend so I would head back north to visit the family, fish, hunt etc.
Old Tools
After pondering it for a bit, I decided to dip my toes into the cordless pool and purchased a cordless drill. After using it a few times around the house, I discovered that it was extremely handy not having to plug a cord in every time I want to do anything and not having to work around a flopping electrical cord.
