Raymond Ralph DeLucia

Raymond Ralph DeLucia, 77, passed away on July 15th, 2026 in his home in Bath, NH. Born on January, 26th, 1949 in New Haven, CT, to Ralph D. DeLucia and Jemma Forni DeLucia, Raymond lived a life marked by intellectual curiosity, a great sense of humor, and a warm presence that touched everyone who knew him.
Raymond grew up and lived for many years in New Haven, Connecticut. Raymond earned his B.S. from Boston College and his M.B.A. from Xavier University. He had a lifelong passion for learning and exploration.
In 1969, Raymond married Gail Dunford and they shared nearly 57 years together. In 2015, Raymond and Gail moved to Bath, NH to enjoy their retirement next door to their son and grandsons.
A committed collector of wine and an avid traveler, Raymond embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity. Raymond and Gail once spent the weekends of an entire summer traveling to every winery across the state of Connecticut and spent vacations visiting wineries along the California coast. His love of travel extended to not just the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, but to Europe and beyond having visited Italy several times, Greece, England, and China. Raymond loved music, sang and played guitar in coffee houses in Boston, and played the accordion and piano. He was proud of his Italian/American heritage enjoying frequent boisterous family gatherings, relished a good argument, and could have eaten pasta for every meal each day.
Raymond spent many years working in Human Resources. In his final working years he was an Investigator with the Commission of Human Rights and Opportunities for the State of Connecticut.
He is survived by his loving wife Gail Dunford DeLucia, his son Alexander DeLucia, daughter in-law Sara DeLucia, and two grandsons, Leo and Max DeLucia, of Bath, NH. He also leaves his siblings Patti and her husband Harris Brown of Tennessee, Frank DeLucia of North Carolina, Megan DeLucia of Georgia, his uncle Frank Forni Pennsylvania, his brother in-law Craig Dunford Sr. of Florida, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
At Raymond’s request there will be no calling hours or services. Instead there will be a celebration of life on the family farm in Bath, NH and a date and time to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your favorite pet rescue or planting a tree in his memory.
