Divination As Guidance Not Guarantee

If you are trying a new recipe and don’t follow directions or recommendations, odds are the dish you are making won’t turn out as well as it could have if you listened to the advice of the one with the skills and knowledge. Even if you adore garlic and want to put in more than is advised, and you think you know better based on your love of it, you could end up with results you don’t like as much as if you followed the recipe in the first place.
What does this have to do with the kind of topics I generally write about? A lot. Many people will have tarot readings, rune readings, follow astrology, or utilize another type of psychic reading to get answers and clarity. They then expect this to be set in stone or a guarantee that what the reading or planets said will happen. That is not how it works at all.
When you have a reading done, it is simply guidance. You have the body and free will/free choice. This means you can support or alter the outcome of the reading depending on what you do. If a reading says you have an opportunity for a new job coming, but you don’t brush up your resume, do a job search, or interview, the odds of that opportunity presenting itself are slim. If you have an astrological reading on the year ahead and it says amazing things will happen if you step outside your comfort zone and do something out of the ordinary, you can’t expect amazing things to happen if you stick with your normal routine.
Using divination and psychic abilities can be great tools, but you cannot rely on them for all your answers. Sometimes it is great for guidance, sometimes it can be very reassuring, or give an insight you may not have had otherwise. But please do not make all your life choices based on that. While there are external factors and some obstacles are harder to overcome than others, you have the ability to create your own outcomes and the life you desire. It all lies in the decisions you make, the actions you take, and your hard work.
Let’s face it, we all would love to have the answers handed to us on a silver platter. To know the right choices to make, to know what is coming for us, to make our lives easier. But that isn’t how life works, psychic or not. The human experience is meant to be full of unknowns, to create questions, and to have lessons to learn from lived experience. Life might be simpler in some ways, but it would be significantly more boring. How can you grow if you don’t have failures, get hurt, and make terrible decisions?
Get your readings, check your astrology, and use whatever form of divination you enjoy. But consider approaching it as entertainment and general direction, with you in charge of the route you take.
